Sue Ackerly is a registered psychologist, an accredited mediator, executive coach an experienced facilitator of conflict resolution, change management, strategic planning and team development initiatives with more than 25 years’ experience consulting to government and private sector organisations.

 

As a mediator, coach and facilitator, Sue has consulted to government and private organisations addressing workplace conflict, bullying and harassment and supporting greater diversity and collaboration in the workplace. She recently held the position of Workplace Conciliator providing coaching and systemic analysis to the Department of Jobs Precincts and Regions, the Department of Transport and their administrative offices (eg Major Transport Infrastructure Authority. As a psychologist, Sue is experienced in working with people with anxiety, depression and other mental health issues, and is experienced in addressing psychological injury in the workplace.

 

Sue’s passion is helping people build positive and safe workplaces in which individuals and organisations can achieve great results. Using a solution-oriented approach, she particularly enjoys facilitating complex problem solving, project start up, team development, and business planning sessions for intact teams and her specialty is helping individuals and teams in stressful or conflict situations achieve ‘high performance’ outcomes.

 

Sue brings over 10 years’ experience coaching senior and middle managers and brings an interest in career transition and development, leadership development and enhanced workplace relationships and collaboration. In her professional employment in other organisations, Sue has held senior human resource management and organisational development positions, in retail, education, health, finance, insurance, and the not-for profit sector. Sue has developed and implemented capability frameworks, talent management assessment, emerging leader and management programs.
